Disc Golf Spread in the Chapel Hill News

The Chapel Hill News published a nice spread of my photos from a shoot this past Saturday for an article on the rise of the sport of disc golf in the area. The full spread is here. I documented a round of disc golf for the shoot with UNC's Carolina Disc Golf Club. More images from the shoot are in on Flickr here.

The shoot was a ton of fun. I had never heard of disc golf before, so all was new to me. One of the club leaders guided me along with his party through the course, a mix of wooded bike trials and former golf fairways. The beautiful fall foliage made for wonderful backdrops, though it make the discs (aka frisbees) occasionally tricky to find.

Apparently, there are several disc golf courses around the Triangle with more underway. Maybe, I'll take the wife and dogs out for round?
